Universal School Nutrition Program one-time-take-home Hamper
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As the school year comes to a close, we are pleased to provide a one-time take-home food hamper for every student at our school through the Universal School Nutrition Program.
The hamper is intended to provide a small amount of additional support to families as students transition into the summer break. There is no registration required, and there is no cost to families. If you would prefer not to receive a food hamper, please let us know by completing the following Forms link.
Each hamper will include: canned chickpeas, canned tomato paste, potatoes, apples, shelf-stable milk –refrigerate once opened, individual cereal portions, instant oatmeal packets.
Hampers will be distributed to students in their classrooms on June 26 before the end of the school day. If your child is absent that day, a parent or caregiver may pick up the hamper from the school by 4:30. If pickup is not possible, the hamper can be provided to your child on June 29 when they return to school. Please ensure your child brings an empty backpack to school that day to help transport the hamper home.
Please note that while the contents have been selected to be low-risk for common allergens, individual food allergies and sensitivities may vary. All items are individually packaged, and families may choose whether to use, share, or discard any items that are not suitable for their household.
We hope this hamper provides a small amount of support and nourishment for your family. Thank you for your continued partnership throughout the school year.
Sincerely,
